Drawing is Good for Thinking -- Just as I've Always Thought!

I've parked this link to an article about the value of drawing for thinking and memory. I've long experienced this benefit of drawing since my days as a student in High School. Doodling while listening to a lecture or during a meeting helps me think more clearly and remember what I heard. I'm glad it's confirmed by research.

“Drawing can improve your thinking and memory over just simple writing by engaging the visual and motor parts of your brain. This leads to greater absorption of information and better retention. Psychologists are calling it the ‘drawing effect.’” -- The Emotion Machine
