Fun MCA Visit in 2007

We had a terrific time today as Chacha, Emily, Melody and I went to see the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. We went to celebrate Emily's 17th birthday. It was her idea to go there and I'm glad she suggested it. Chacha was most captivated by the farmer's market in the museum plaza but I loved all the work there. There was a special exhibit of Mexican artists that was very innovative. Unfortunately they would not allow photos to be taken in the exhibits but there were plenty of fun things to see in the lobby.

I do not remember names of artists but I enjoyed all of the work. Much of it was video-based. We also went to Millenium Park. The last time we were there, the Cloud Gate sculpture (aka "the Bean") was being cleaned. This time we could in to the space and it was very cool.

For one of the photos from our visit, click here. It is of my daughters Em and Mel in the plaza of the Museum that features a contemporary sculpture that looks like it's embedded in the pavement!
