Day's Events Included Sock Monkey

'Just finished making my lunch for tomorrow: Reduced Fat Peanut Butter and Honey on Whole Wheat Bread, two apples, two oranges, a sandwich bag with a half cup of baby carrots, a half or so cup of animal crackers. This evening I went to the library to take back some books of Emily's that were due. Melody went with me to turn them in because Emily went with Chacha to Kohls to pick up some things.

While I was there, I checked out some comics: Tony Millionaire's Adventures of Sock Monkey, Frank Miller's Complete Spider Man, and Madiera's (sp?) Battle Chasers. I think I'll be able to read them in 4 weeks before they are due. When I got home, Melody and I read the first chapter of Sock Monkey together. We both laughed out loud at some of the panels. At first look, it seemed like absurdist humor. I'll have to reflect some more about it before I form a fuller opinion. Emily read some of it and said that she thought the Sock Monkey stories were stupid.

Emily has just asked me to help her edit a paragraph she wrote for a pre-algebra project. She interviewed Chacha about how she uses math in her job as a Medical Lab Technician. Chacha told her about a test on blood plasma to determine blood glucose levels. I helped polish up the paragraph a bit but at this hour my mind is rather mushy. Fortunately the paper is not due until Friday and Emily can have another look at it after it "cools down".

I went to the health club today over lunch and ran 3.5 miles on the tread mill. I plan to go again on Thursday. Getting tired. So i'm going to sign off.
