Debate sketches

I watched the debate between McCain and Obama tonite. I made sketches of the candidates to practice my caricature skills.

I was irritated by Jim Lehr's insistence that they talk to one another in the debate. In the beginning, when each candidate was trying to make a point, Lehr would butt in saying, "Say it directly to your opponent"... as if he were a freakin' therapist. It really got on my nerves.

But I wish Obama was harder on McCain. He did make some good points but I think some people will confuse McCain's crotchety-ness with some glimmer of character. I'm not a McCain fan. The bill to renew subsidies for companies that create alternate forms of energy has not been able to pass the Senate and each time it was up for a vote, McCain would not vote for it. His record on blocking alternative energy promotion by the feds is disgusting.
