Thoughts & life experiences of a Chicago area graphic artist

23 November 2003

I'm so amazed that it has been a month since I wrote anything here. Well, I'm visiting my brother-in-law and his family in Kenosha, Wisconsin. We've had a nice overnite stay and we'll be going back today.

Chacha's mom has been with us since Oct. 30 and has been enjoying the 3 family gatherings we've had since she arrived.

I'm reading "On Writing Well" by William Zinsser. I borrowed it from my brother-in-law (my sis Alicia's husband, Harry) a week or so ago. He recommended it to me as a book that can help writers at any level.

I'm at chapter 3 and have been inspired to write with less clutter already. I don't know if it shows yet but I imagine the effect will soak in eventually.

I've been busy enough to be distracted from writing in this blog. Work, Side job (weekend arts school teaching position), chuch and family are all priorities that precede my blogging. Although I have been thinking a lot about things I want to write. My feelings about my mortality (not original, I know). My observations on family life with a wife and two Junior High School age daughters. Musings on spiritual reality. Well, hopefully this next week I'll be able to write more. By the way. I updated my student cartoon site with the latest work from the Kaleidoscope Art School cartooning class. It's at:
