NOTE: Published nearly 20 years ago, this student showcase zine was originally printed conventionally (on paper). It was temporarily posted online but during some Web Provider account changes, the online version was taken down. This blog post will recreate some of it's highlights.
In a high school sketchbook, was merged the mythical unicorn with a tiger... thus creating an amalgam that represents two natures: Idealistic Fantasy and Fierce Reality -tigrikorn. He treads the line between competing worlds and ideals; a bit of a misfit, his adventures are chronicled here. Welcome to Tigrikorn #26! The student work for this issue is from the Spring, 2004 Cartooning Classes at Kaleidoscope School of Art in Kaleidoscope School of Art in Barrington IL (4th-5th grade and JrHi thru High School). Since you can view this online version, you can see the same great cartoon work and even get to see the color versions that could only be printed in black and white for the paper zine. Make sure you check out the Tigrikorn stuff you can order online: T-shirts, Lunch boxes, etc. If you have any questions or comments about this zine or Kaleidoscope School of Art, please don't hesitate to contact me.
