The good:
Seeing Ewan McGregor on screen as my favorite Jedi.
Young Princess Leia casting was spot-on. I grew to like her more with each episode.
The last episode battle between Obi Wan and Darth Vader. Yow!
Decent cinematography
The bad:
Dialogue seemed boiler-plate at times. Some lines by Vader seemed copy-pasted from animated Star Wars productions.
For some reason, I became annoyed at Ewan's voice. Too nasal? Too whiney? I dunno. Just bugged me.
At a certain point I couldn't help think of the old saying "You can't put a new patch on an old garment." Meaning to me that the Star Wars franchise has become a difficult "tapestry" of folklore to manage well in regards to fitting in stories along its extremely canonical timeline.
The meh:
Storm troopers.
Predictable plot twists
Luke's sub-thread plot invulnerability.
Qui-gon Gin
I watched with impatience a lot of the time. It seems like the series could have been tighter and shorter.
But I enjoyed parts.
