What does it say about Superman that his arch enemy is a calculating, billionaire, criminal narcissist?

What does it say about Wonder Woman that her quintessential villain of record is a deadly, beast-like shape, changer?

Are enemies often like alter-egos?

My Students asked me to do an ink drawing of three super villains in the same composition. We decided on a "Trinity of Destruction" consisting of 'BatVenom', Ultron and Deadpool.
