I found this quote by Ursula K. LeGuin that seemed to describe the present age perfectly. This drawing is part of my themed collection of sketches called "Elephant in the Room". The idiom, "Elephant in the Room", describes when there is an issue or situation that is obvious to everyone (like an elephant would be) yet no one wants to acknowledge it or deal with it. The way our country manages to be in a perpetual state of war and the fact that many innocent children have been killed by us (collaterally) during the war is something no one wants to discuss.
