Malacandrians and other Space Trilogy Topics

"Out of the Silent Planet" by C.S. Lewis is the first in his Space Trilogy.

I've actually enjoyed the excellent Audio Book version of it during my commute to and from work.

The novel is both thought provoking and entertaining as it introduces a Christian Cosmology beatifully into the Science Fiction genre.

After reading the book a second time, I think I would revise my above sketch that I made years ago in one of my sketchbooks. The Sorn should be taller and the Hrossa should be more slender. I'd also add more detail to the Pfifltriggi on the far right.

As I mentioned, Lewis's cosmology upon which the Space Trilogy is based is blend of Christian Theology, The Theory of Relativity with a touch of mysticism. But my favorite book of The Space Trilogy has to be Perelandra.

See photos of some drawings based on that Novel as well.
