What's that musky odor?

In the realm of social media & tech billionaires, one figure stands out as a controversial and polarizing personality. Meet Elon Musk, a so-called “self-made” billionaire who parlayed inherited wealth through tech acquisitions to become “the worlds wealthiest person” according to Forbes magazine. Buying the social media platform Twitter on an impulse and, after much mismanagement, changing the company’s name to “X”, his dodgy influence has been further marred by his excessive use of the platform to make puerile, banal, and insensitive posts. In an apparent attempt to appeal to base sensibilities and gain attention, his comments often veer into offensive territory, causing public disgust and further displays his hubris

Despite an exodus of users Musk remains unyielding in his approach, dismissing criticism as an attack on his right to expression. As the face of “X”, his behavior has stirred widespread concerns about the platform's content moderation policies and whether they adequately address harmful content. Such content includes the sharp rise in racist rants and shills for crypto scams.

Many critics argue that Musk’s actions not only perpetuate toxic discourse but also endanger marginalized communities, exacerbating the already growing issue of online polarization. As the saga continues, society grapples with the ethical implications of a billionaire's unchecked power and influence over a massive social media platform.
