Greek influence on Ancient Indian Art

Although Alexander the Great's invasion of India lasted 19 months and most scholars say his influence there was negligible, there are samples of art after his invasion that indicate Greek artists influenced depictions of faces and figures by Indian artists.

This influence of Greek Art styles can be seen in Indian sculptures on display at the Art Institute of Chicago. It indicates that when Alexander the Great invaded India in 327-325 BC  he left some Hellenistic cultural impact in his wake.
