I made this comic in the early 90s when Limbaugh was gaining in influence. Even then, I found his mean-spirited banter distasteful. I saw him as a bafoon. My caracicature has even more relevance today. In fact, now I feel I was being kind. If I were to draw this today, I would make him look much more sinister.
The inspiration for the name is the dragon from The Hobbit, Smaug.
