In honor of Earth Day, I post the above sketches from an old 1990 sketchbook. It comprises some Earth Day themes. Later, I used Photoshop to develop the sketches further:

In my youth I was cynical about Earth Day but I now believe it has focused attention on vital issues and has engendered important policies and regulations all over the world. More needs to be done, of course. In any event, I rather like Earth Day now.
