Emily, Melody and I went to the Art Institute of Chicago on the Thursday Free Admission night (10-08-09).
We spent a lot of time in their new Modern Art wing. We mostly spent time in the new wing where I saw the original art of a number of my favorite modern artists: Hockney, Koons, Warhol, Katz. They have a decent collection....but no Haring!
Their collection won't be complete until they aquire some of Keith's remarkable work.
2013 Update:
Upon my first visit to the Art Institute upon their re-opening after being closed to the public due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, I am so happy that they have added Keith Haring Art to their collection:
