Using Polaroid 660 film, I shot the self-portrait, used a stylus to draw on the surface of the image to manipulate the chemicals underneath. Then after the image had solidified, I separated the clear plastic of image window from backing. The chemicals stuck to the plastic while also leaving transparent gaps where the stylus had made impressions. Then I taped the image to a piece of neon card stock which shown thru the transparent spaces. I then adhered the entire image with neon square onto a larger colored card stock paper rectangle.
